Josh recently graduated at the top of his class from a Bachelor of Music Performance at Collarts. During his many years as a bassist, he has worked with some of the biggest names in the Australian music industry. Josh is a versatile player that is proficient in several musical styles with a lot of onstage and studio experience, and is one of the rising stars in the Australian music industry.
Josh first fell in love with the bass when he was 12. Since then, he has developed 10 years of intense gigging and recording experience.
Throughout high school, Josh was known to be one of the best musicians that attended his school, Carwatha P-12 College. Under the guidance of Marina Novelli, Josh worked incredibly hard at perfecting his craft on the bass. When he was 16, he won the Senior Metropolitan Region Battle of the Bands, with his then band 'Robots n Aliens'. It was then that Josh was proclaimed to become one of Australia's most versatile bass players.
Josh was accepted into the Australian College of the Arts (Collarts) for a bachelor of Arts (Music Performance). Throughout his two years as a Collarts student, he worked tirelessly to master his instrument under the guidance of Joshua Jones (Bass Player for Dan Sultan. Throughout his course, Josh was mentored by many of Australia's biggest artists, including Jesse and Ella Hooper (Killing Heidi), Travis Dempsey (Ex. Drummer of The Living End), Brett Langsford (Acclaimed session guitarist) , and Phil Bywater (Sessional Saxophonist). Josh graduated at the top of his class, obtaining both his Bachelor's Degree, and an award for Academic Excellence.
Since graduating from University, Josh has been working hard on developing his career as a musician. He is currently with many groups including Soul Kitchen and Dreams The Rumours of Fleetwood Mac, and is now working fulltime in the music industry.
